Safety Guide & Terms of Use

Product Safety, Use, and Liability Policy

1. Proper Fit and Maintenance

For the safety and comfort of your pet, the Dressy Dog collar must be fitted correctly. A collar that is too tight can cause skin irritation or respiratory distress, while a collar that is too loose may allow the pet to slip out of the restraint.

  • The Two-Finger Rule: You should be able to slide two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog’s neck.

  • Regular Checks: It is the owner's responsibility to check the fit regularly, particularly for growing puppies, after grooming, or following weight changes.

  • Inspection: Hardware, stitching, and fabric can wear down over time due to environmental factors. Inspect all components of the collar and its attachments before every use. Discontinue use immediately if any part shows signs of fraying, cracking, or mechanical compromise.

2. Interchangeable Attachments & Components

The Dressy Dog system features a unique modular design with removable attachments.

  • Choking Hazard: Small components and removable attachments can be chewed off and swallowed. These items are not toys and should be kept out of reach of children and pets when not securely fastened to the collar.

  • Supervision Requirements: Never leave your pet unattended or crated while wearing decorative attachments. We strongly recommend removing all modular accessories during rough play, swimming, or when the pet is left alone.

  • Secure Fastening: Ensure all attachments are properly locked or fastened according to the provided instructions before use.

3. Usage Restrictions and Prohibited Activities

  • Not for Tie-Out: Dressy Dog collars are designed for walking and identification only. They are strictly prohibited for use as a "tie-out" or for tethering a dog to a stationary object (such as a stake, tree, or post). Using a collar for tethering puts extreme force on the hardware and fabric, which can lead to equipment failure, serious injury, or fatal strangulation.

  • Professional Training: This product is not intended for use as a professional-grade training or heavy-duty restraint device for aggressive pullers.

4. Limitation of Liability

By purchasing and using products from Dressy Dog LLC, the purchaser acknowledges that dog activities and the use of pet restraints are inherently risky.

  • Assumption of Risk: The user assumes all risk and responsibility for determining the suitability of this gear for their specific pet’s size, strength, and temperament.

  • No Incidental Damages: In no event shall Dressy Dog LLC be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, or special consequential damages to property, pets, or life whatsoever arising out of or connected with the use or misuse of our products.

  • Agreement to Terms: Use of Dressy Dog LLC products constitutes your express agreement to these terms and conditions.

5. Intellectual Property Notice
